Visceral Work Made Simple:
A Functional Approach for OT’s
Less Complex, More Impact:
A Course to Learn Diagnosis Specific Visceral Manipulation Techniques
July 17-July 18, 2026
Taught by an OT, for OTs
PTs, you are absolutely welcome too.

This lab-based course breaks down visceral mobilization in a way that is clear, functional, and immediately applicable to your practice. You will learn hands-on techniques to support mobility, digestion, core connection, and pain, all tailored to the real diagnoses and challenges you see every day.
Whether you are brand new to visceral work or looking to build confidence in what you have already learned, this course will help you integrate these techniques into meaningful, client-centered care without overcomplicating the process. This course was designed to give you a clear and proven roadmap for using visceral techniques with real clinical impact.

Day One focuses on digestion and its relationship to core connection, mobility, and whole-body function. We will then move into pregnancy, specifically addressing pelvic pain, hip pain, and back pain through targeted, practical, hands-on techniques you can use immediately in the clinic.

Day Two builds on that foundation as we move into fertility, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and prolapse. You will learn how to assess and treat these complex presentations with confidence, clarity, and clinical reasoning that makes sense.

Real-life patient case studies will join us to help bring everything together, allowing you to see the integration of technique, assessment, and functional outcomes in real time.

This course is not about adding more complexity to your toolbox. It is about helping you see the body more clearly, feel more intentionally, and treat with greater purpose. You will leave with a deeper understanding of how the viscera influence movement, pain, and pelvic function, and with the confidence to apply what you learn in a way that truly changes outcomes for your clients.

The “Why” Behind the Work
Professionally, in my 30 years of practice, one of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been mentoring other therapists and helping them grow in skill and confidence when treating patients. I deeply believe in the power of shared knowledge.
I have invested countless hours in continuing education, refining my clinical reasoning, and developing an approach that feels both thorough and practical. What I am teaching in this course is the result of that investment. It has been distilled into a format that is clear, effective, and immediately applicable so you can begin creating meaningful change for your patients right away.
Visceral work has transformed my practice. The impact it has had on my patients has been profound, both physically and functionally. It has changed the way I assess, the way I treat, and the way I understand the body as an integrated system.
Personally, this work is deeply meaningful to me. As someone who has faced fertility challenges related to endometriosis, being able to support others navigating similar journeys has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. First through direct patient care and now through teaching fellow therapists, this work feels purposeful on every level.
For this course, I have brought together techniques from a wide range of advanced trainings along with methods I have refined through years of clinical experience. The result is a clear and accessible pathway to address complex diagnoses such as:
-
infertility
-
endometriosis
-
digestive dysfunction
-
and more
I’d love to have you join me for the next offering of this course.

Objectives for Course
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Foundational Knowledge
Explain and relate the principles of visceral manipulation to organ mobility, fascial connections, and core system function (diaphragm, pelvic floor, abdominal wall).
2. Anatomical & Functional Integration
Analyze the anatomical relationships and functional interactions between abdominal and pelvic organs and their influence on occupational performance.
3. Assessment: Organ Mobility
Demonstrate assessment of organ mobility through palpation and movement-based evaluation techniques, including identification of restrictions in the liver, bladder, intestines, and reproductive organs.
4. Assessment: Organ Motility & Clinical Impact
Differentiate organ mobility from motility and analyze how impairments contribute to dysfunction in pelvic floor coordination, breathing mechanics, and core stability.
5. Systems-Based Clinical Reasoning
Analyze the relationship between visceral restrictions and dysfunction in the diaphragm, pelvic floor, and core system, including implications for pain, incontinence, and prolapse.
6. Intervention Skills
Demonstrate foundational visceral mobilization techniques targeting abdominal and pelvic organs while maintaining appropriate safety, positioning, and patient communication.
7. Application to Clinical Populations
Apply visceral manipulation techniques to clinical scenarios involving constipation, incontinence, pelvic pain, post-surgical recovery, and endometriosis.
8. Fascia & Tissue Considerations
Analyze and apply the role of fascial continuity in organ mobility when assessing and treating restrictions within the abdominal and pelvic regions.
9. Regional Assessment & Treatment
Assess and address tissue restrictions in related structures (diaphragm, rib cage, abdominal wall, pelvis) to improve pressure regulation and movement efficiency.
10. Integration into OT Practice
Integrate visceral techniques into an occupational therapy plan of care by linking interventions to functional outcomes including continence, functional mobility, ADLs, and participation in meaningful activities.
11. Prevention & Wellness
Apply visceral techniques within preventative and wellness contexts, including pregnancy, postpartum recovery, continence, constipation, and return to fitness/leisure interests.
12. Patient Education & Self-Management
Develop and implement patient education strategies and home programs that support carryover, symptom management, and long-term independence.
These objectives aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of how visceral manipulation can improve pelvic health outcomes and overall body function.
