DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No, in most cases. Occupational and physical therapists have direct access in Ohio.  This means that a prescription or referral is NOT required for therapy services and you may just go ahead and click “Book Online”.  However, if you are planning to have your visits covered through Medicare, we do require a doctor referral.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Services at Next Level Therapy are provided on a fee for services basis. Payment is expected at the time of service and is accepted via cash, check, all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA.

Evaluations are $225.

Follow up visits are $125

Reevaluations are $175

We are considered “out of network” for most major insurance carriers. At the completion of your treatment plan you will be provided with an itemized receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Every body is different and will respond individually.  Factors include your level of commitment, how long your have been dealing with symptoms, your past history, and other personal factors.  Please be honest with your therapist regarding your ability to follow through with a home program.  This will help your therapist design an appropriate program to help you be most successful in your recovery.  We typically see our patients benefitting from approximately 4-6 sessions.  However, we expect that you will feel some improvements after 2 visits.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A PELVIC FLOOR EVALUATION?

Your visit will begin with an in depth review and discussion about items mentioned in your intake form.  We will then discuss some basics about how the pelvic floor and inner core function together and why it is important that your therapist look at your entire body holistically.  You will then move on to a full body movement assessment.  From there, and only with your permission and agreement, your therapist will perform an internal exam of the pelvic floor muscles.  For those with female genitalia, we will perform this through the vagina and/or rectum.  For those with male genitalia this will be completed through the rectum.  This is only completed with your permission and you can change your mind at any time.  Your therapist will use a lubricated, gloved finger and will talk you through every step.  The therapist will be looking for prolapse, muscle imbalances, and coordination of these muscles in combination with the rest of your core muscles.  This assessment is often the most effective but it is NOT the only way.  If an internal assessment is not for you, we have other options that we can explore.  Your comfort is our number #1 priority.   After the assessment and based on your therapists findings,  we will move directly into treatment on this first visit.

CAN I COME TO MY PELVIC FLOOR VISIT IF I AM HAVING MY PERIOD?

YES!  Please do not worry about this.  Because our bodies have so many changes during our periods, and often your symptom's are intensified at this time, this is the perfect time to come in for your visit.  Your therapist is used to working with those having a period and will proceed in a manner that makes you most comfortable.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I AM SICK?

If you are sick, believe your are getting sick, or believe you have had direct exposure to someone with a contagious illness, please call or text the office or your therapist directly to reschedule.  You will not be charged a cancellation fee.  For the health of our therapists and our patients, we appreciate this and will help you to reschedule.

HOW ARE YOU MANAGING COVID-19?

We are following CDC guidelines.  All equipment and high touch areas are sanitized between patients.  Your therapist will wear a mask at your request.  Patients who have are actively ill or have had direct exposure to Covid-19 are asked to reschedule their visit.  Cancellation fees are waived for illness.
